Elder Board:

  • We will be presenting ‘The Truth Project’ during the summer months.  It will be a very effective presentation of the Christian worldview.  Sign up for a time slot.
  • Understanding Grace, a class for those interested in membership at Grace, or just interested, will begin soon.  See Pastor Dan.
  • Gary Stueckle is our new chairman.  We welcome Bob Hosmer to the Board.
  • Pastor Dan will be representing Grace at our denominational Annual Meeting in Minnesota.  The Lazicki’s are planning to be on vacation July 27-August 9.

Trustee Board:

  • A Long Range Planning Committee is being formed to address the future needs of our congregation, particularly in terms of facility and finance.

Youth:

  • Our next big event is Pitch-n-Putt at Greenlake on June 19.

Vacation Bible School is scheduled for July 6-10. Service sign up sheets are waiting for your signature.  Monetary donations for the food being provided are welcome.  See the display in the auditorium.

Benevolence Committee:

  • During this time of economic distress in our community, we are suggesting that each Grace family bring an item of non-perishable food to our worship services to be donated to the Lynnwood Food Bank. Plastic grocery and newspaper bags and small cardboard boxes are also welcome. Over 300 people are being served on a weekly basis.

Men’s Prayer Breakfast has been well attended and received.  We meet on the last Saturday morning of the month at 7:00 am at the Pancake Haus in Edmonds for fellowship, discussion and prayer (and breakfast).

Sunday School is in recess until September, giving our staff a much deserved rest.  The Everett Gospel Mission Women’s Shelter received the gift boxes we prepared with gratitude!

Several of our ministries are in recess for the summer: Sunday School, Home Fellowship Groups, Women of Grace, Youth Bible Studies.  Watch for other activities.

Prayer Notes:

  • We ask the Father for all the necessary resources required, material and spiritual, to accomplish the task He has given us.  We are facing some difficult decisions and ask for wisdom for the Boards.  Is it His will that we share our facility more equally with other ministries?
  • May God renew His Church in this time of national economic distress.
  • We continue to remember those in our congregation in critical medical situations: Nadine, Leo, Emma L, as well as seniors struggling with the debilitating effects of aging.
  • May God bless the Jesus Fellowship Church in their ministry in our facility.
  • May God bless the preparations underway for our VBS.
  • We ask the Father to lead us into a new ministry that will connect with our community.
  • We thank God for those He is sending into our fellowship.  We want to be a church family for them in every way.
  • Pray that Andrew and Kris Larsen will find ways to be more deeply connected to people in their neighborhood and that Kris will find more opportunity for language study.
  • We thank the Father for the gift of Leo Douglas and the hope that we will see him again.
  • May our Father bless the traveling and vacationing members of our congregation during the summer months with safetly, recreation, good family times, and spiritual refreshment.
